The Torch newspaper is published monthly by students, serving as a public forum produced by the students enrolled in Journalism - Newspaper class. We also report using social media, including Facebook and Twitter. Students, parents, and faculty are encouraged to read our publication and join the conversations! In producing the Torch, student editors make their content decisions and they follow guidelines provided by Torch policy, Iowa law and the ethics of journalism. We are committed to producing top quality media and applying high standards of writing, editing, and production. The Torch seeks to fairly serve the Kennedy High School faculty, students, and staff. Final decisions about content are the responsibility of the individual editors and the Editorial Board.
