Kennedy Basketball Support Group Minutes
The Kennedy Basketball Support Group meeting was held on Wednesday, January 18, 2012.
Those in attendance were Karen Jahlas, Ross Oltmann, Kim Oltmann, Tony Carter, Mark Daniels, Mike Murdock, Nancy Bell, Kim King, Melissa Stevens, and Coach Fontana.
The meeting was called to order by Karen Jahlas.
A treasurer’s report was given by Karen Jahlas. A computer was purchased for the coaches. Support group is still receiving some money from the letter writing campaign. The One t-shirts were bought out of the support group fund.
Kim Oltmann reported that the Booster Club meeting is next so she did not have any updates.
The next all level team meals are scheduled for Wednesday, February 15th and will include the Varsity and Sophomores.
Carol Struss continues to coordinate the sack lunches for the Varsity and Sophomore away games. The remaining away games are:
· 1/28 – Fulton
· 2/14 – Dubuque Hempstead
Senior Night is scheduled for Thursday February 16th.
· Nancy Bell and Mike Murdock are coordinating.
· Nancy is working on the brochure.
The Year End banquet is Tuesday, March 20th.
· Michelle Koelling will coordinate.
· Parents should ask for $5.00 from players for coaches gifts.
· Karen will provide Mike Murdock an example of the scrapbook she put together for the 2010/2011 season.
· Need to get 2-3 photos from the Freshman and Sophomores for the banquet.
The next Support Group meeting will be held on Wednesday, February 15th, 2012 at 7 p.m. in Coach Fontana’s room.
