JFK Jazz Band Performances 2011-12 school year 

Thursday, October 27^th – Jazz Bands One and Two. Jazz concert in the band room.  7:00 p.m.

Friday, December 9^th – Jazz Band One only.  Latin Jazz Festival at The University of Iowa.  8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. time commitment.

Tuesday, December 13^th – Jazz Bands One and Two.  Holiday Band Concert in the Auditorium  7:00 p.m.

Thursday, December 22^nd  – Jazz Band One only.  During school hours.  Holiday Assembly.

Saturday, January 7^th – Honor Jazz Band Festival at Kennedy.  This will probably only involve 2-3 students from Jazz Band One.  All day event.

Thursday, January 19^th – Jazz Band One. Recording session from 3:45 to 4:45.

Friday January 20^th – Jazz Band Two rehearsal from 3:30 to 4:30.

Thursday, January 26^th – Jazz Bands One and Two.  Simpson College Jazz Festival.  We will get out of school for this.  Early morning until early evening commitment.

Friday, January 27^th – Jazz Bands One and Two. Kennedy Band Carnival.  Jazz Band Two will most likely perform around 4:30.  Jazz Band One will most likely perform around 8:00

Saturday, January 28^th – Jazz Bands One and Two.  State Jazz Band Festival at Kennedy.  Jazz Band Two will perform in the morning.  Jazz Band One will perform in the afternoon.

Thursday, February 2^nd – Jazz Band Two only.  Evening performance in JFK Auditorium.  5:45 to 6:45 commitment.

Thursday, February 16^th – Jazz Band One and Two.  Evening performance in the band room.  Starts at 7:00 p.m.

Friday, February 17^th – Jazz Bands One and Two. Tallcorn Jazz Festival at UNI.  We get out of school for this.  Early morning until late afternoon commitment.

Thursday, February 23^rd – Jazz Bands One and Two.  Jazz concert at Harding Middle School.  7:00 p.m.

 Friday, February 24^th – Jazz Bands One and Two.  Coe College Jazz Summit.  We get out of school for this, but only in the afternoon.

Saturday, March 3^rd – Jazz Bands One and Two.  NEIBA Jazz Competition. Waterloo West H.S.  Early morning until late afternoon commitment.

Tuesday, April 3^rd – Jazz Band One only.  Corridor Jazz Project performance at Prairie H.S.  Evening commitment.

Tuesday, May 15^th – Jazz Bands One and Two.  7 p.m. Jazz Band concert in the Auditorium.
